The BoilerWave Helios (Hot Water Only) model utilizes microwave and thermal storage technology, eliminating the need for a pressure and temperature relief valve and associated discharge pipework. This design complies with Part G of the Building Regulations, which prohibits connecting a discharge pipe from an unvented cylinder to a soil stack.
Hot water is generated through a highly efficient plate heat exchanger. As hot water is needed, cold mains water is instantly heated as it passes through the heat exchanger and is delivered to the taps. This method of hot water generation eliminates the risk of Legionella. The innovative design also simplifies installation and ongoing maintenance for installers.
Unlike traditional unvented cylinders, BoilerWave microwave boilers do not require any annual maintenance. They offer a groundbreaking solution with zero greenhouse gas emissions, making a significant contribution to the UK’s decarbonization efforts. By replacing conventional gas boilers, these systems have the potential to reduce the UK’s annual CO2 emissions by up to 18%.
With an embodied carbon footprint expected to be as low as 2.35 tons of CO2, BoilerWave boilers have one of the lowest carbon footprints throughout their entire lifecycle. They can prevent and save up to half a gigaton of carbon emissions annually.

Providing on-demand, mains pressure hot water delivery, the BoilerWave range incorporates high-performance fusion transfer technology phase change material.
BoilerWave microwave boilers are up to ten times smaller than thermal store hot water cylinders they replace because of our special formula, which retains heat up to ten times better than water.
